
Cancellation Policy

At Country Beauty, every appointment is thoughtfully booked just for you.
As a sole trader working by appointment only in a rural area, late cancellations or missed appointments often can’t be re-filled — which results in a direct loss of income and valuable time. To ensure fairness for both clients and the business, the following policy is in place: 48-Hour Cancellation & Change Notice ​​
Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel, reschedule or change your appointment. This includes shortening or removing any part of your treatment. Changes made with less than 48 hours’ notice (e.g. removing part of a service or reducing time) will still require payment in full for the original booked treatment booked. This also allows me time to offer any time slots to other clients. However, if there’s sufficient time available on the day, you're very welcome to upgrade your treatment or add additional services.
Late Cancellations (within 48 hours) Cancellations made less than 48 hours before your appointment will incur a fee based on the value of the booked service:If the service total is £20 or under, 100% of the cost will be charged.If the service total is over £20, a 50% charge will apply.​
Voucher Bookings
For treatments booked using a prepaid voucher, a 50% cancellation fee will apply if less than 48 hours’ notice is given for cancellations or rescheduling.No-shows or same-day cancellations may result in the full value of the voucher being redeemed.Please treat your voucher like cash — it holds a value and secures your appointment time. ​
No-Shows & Same-Day Cancellations​
Missing your appointment without contact, or cancelling on the day, will be charged 100% of the booked service.Repeat no-shows may require full prepayment for future bookings.​
Why is there a charge even if no service was carried out?​
As a self-employed therapist, when you book an appointment with me, that time is set aside just for you. With limited availability, especially in a small, rural setting, it’s often not possible to refill a slot at short notice. Other clients may have asked for this time slot and been turned away. Even if a treatment doesn’t go ahead, time, preparation, and product costs may already have been invested. The cancellation fee helps recover a portion of the income lost, as well as overheads that still apply whether or not the appointment is attended.

Preparing for Your Appointment
To get the best from your visit and help your appointment run smoothly:
Please arrive on time. I work by myself in the salon and do not have a receptionist so please do not arrive more than ten minutes before your treatment is due to begin.
Let me know in advance of any allergies, medical conditions, or changes to your usual services.
Please be aware that the toilet facilities/treatment room is located up a flight of stairs therefore are not wheelchair accessible. Please do not bring guests or children unless pre-arranged.
Emergencies & Flexibility​
I understand that genuine emergencies and illness happen. If something unexpected comes up, please contact me as early as possible — I will always try to be fair.
Booking Terms
Appointments will require a deposit to confirm.Cards are only charged in line with this policy, and never without notice.All payment details are stored safely and securely.
