Cancellation Policy

 

 

At Country Beauty, every appointment is thoughtfully booked just for you. As a sole trader working by appointment only in a rural area, late cancellations or missed appointments often can’t be re-filled — which results in a direct loss of income and valuable time. To ensure fairness for both clients and the business, the following policy is in place:

 

48-Hour Cancellation Notice

​

Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows time to offer your slot to someone else — often from a waitlist.

 

Late Cancellations (within 48 hours)

 

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before your appointment will incur a fee based on the value of the booked service:

  • If the service total is £20 or under, 100% of the cost will be charged.

  • If the service total is over £20, a 50% charge will apply.

 

Why is there a charge even if no service was carried out?

When an appointment is booked, that time is reserved just for you. At short notice, it's rarely possible to fill the gap — especially in a small, rural salon. The fee helps recover some of the income lost and covers prep time and overheads already invested in your booking. This charge must be settled before any future appointments can be made.

No-Shows & Same-Day Cancellations

​

  • Missing your appointment without contact, or cancelling on the day, will be charged 100% of the booked service.

  • Repeat no-shows may require full prepayment for future bookings.

 

Preparing for Your Appointment

 

To get the best from your visit and help your appointment run smoothly:

  • Please arrive on time. I work by myself in the salon and do not have a receptionist so please do not arrive more than ten minutes before your treatment is due to begin. 

  • Let me know in advance of any allergies, medical conditions, or changes to your usual services.

  • Please be aware that the toilet facilities/treatment room is located up a flight of stairs therefore are not wheelchair accessible. 

  • Please do not bring guests or children unless pre-arranged.

 

Emergencies & Flexibility

I understand that genuine emergencies and illness happen. If something unexpected comes up, please contact me as early as possible — I will always try to be fair.

 

Booking Terms

 

  • Appointments will require a deposit to confirm.

  • Cards are only charged in line with this policy, and never without notice.

  • All payment details are stored safely and securely.
